If you experience any problems with my apps Calendar Event Reminder or Email Widget please don’t hesitate to send me a mail with some desciption about it. In some cases it is important to get a deeper insight of your system in order to be able to analyze your problem. Therefore you can use the free app CatLog from the market. Just follow the link and install it just like any other app on your phone. After that please launch it and you can see a screen with your current system logging information.

Now please hit “Menu->Record” and “Ok” to start a logfile recording session and then reproduce your problem, i.e. a scheduled alarm not showing up or any other false behaviour. Then go back to CatLog and hit “Menu->Stop Recording” and “Menu->Send->As Attachment->Your favorite mail app i.e. GMail” and send it to me. You can find my email adress in the market description.

If you don’t succeed please get in contact through the comments below.

After you send me the logfile you can delete it by hitting “Menu->More->Manage Saved Logs->Delete All”.

Some users of my app calendar event reminder asked me how they can use custom sounds for notifications, alarms or ringtones. This can be easily done. Just create some folders on your sdcard and place your favourite mp3s in it:

• /sdcard/media/alarms
• /sdcard/media/notifications
• /sdcard/media/ringtones

This app adds a nagging and repeating reminder alarm for calendar events and extends the stock calendar application. You can customize the duration, repetitions, sound / vibration pattern and snooze buttons / logic. Works with every synced calendar.

When alarm / reminder goes off the device will be turned on and a popup window with information about the event (title, time, location) is displayed. Alarm / reminder can be disabled by clicking the dismiss and snoozed by the snooze buttons.

You can use simple buttons for snooze / dismiss or sliders which are similar to the lock screen. They can be used with Froyo or Gingerbread look & feel.

das war nicht grade das beste wetter für ein open air festival…bischen nieselregen und wenig sonne, dazu der etwas durchnässte boden trugen nicht grade zu einer heiter und ausgelassenen stimmung bei. aber was solls, wir hatten trotzdem unseren spaß.

ein schönes konzert wars…obwohl ich ja eigentlich von der lmh als konzert-location immer irgendwie nicht so begeistert bin.
musikalisch gesehen war es ein leckerbissen. wann sieht man sonst schon mal eine band, die mit nahezu 10 personen und ebensovielen (wenn nicht sogar noch mehr) musikinstrumenten in den songs vertreten ist. genau wie beim album wird auch live viel an klangelementen zusammengemischt und an sounds geschraubt, die manchmal chaotisch, manchmal begeisternd wirken.

außergewöhnlich war übrigens wieder mal nicht nur die musik selber sondern auch die ganze inszenierung. die light-show war perfekt auf die einzelnen songs abgestimmt; selten werden auch mal derart ausgefallene effekte eingesetzt. da wäre zum beispiel die hinter dem drummer platzierte rombus-förmige lichtsäule, oder die mehrfarbigen lichtschablonen.

cedric unterstrich die inhaltliche melancholie einiger lieder des ersten longplayers de-loused in the comatorium mit der theatralisch anmutenden geste, sich das micro um den hals zu schnüren…so als ob er sich damit erdrosseln wollte.
gemischt waren die songs übrigens hervorragend. man konnte cedrics gesang sehr gut verstehen und auch die relativ “leisen” musikinstrumente wie flöte oder rassel kamen gut zur geltung.

erstaunlich war übrigens, dass die band nahezu keine pausen einlegte; es wurde fast über die komplette dauer des konzertes (ca. 2 1/2 stunden) durchgespielt. der drummer legte in diesem zusammenhang eine exzellente performance hin.
erwähnenswert wäre dann noch, dass die band keine zugabe spielte. ähnliches hatte ich bereits bei meinem ersten mars-volta-konzert erlebt.
alles in allem war es allerdings ein äußerst schönes live-erlebnis.

das neue jahr habe ich dieses mal mit ein paar freunden in meiner wohnung in bonn verbracht. wir haben zuerst lecker gekocht und später diverse cocktails gemixt.

empfehlen kann ich dabei folgende mischung:
als alkoholische grundlage wodka und triple sec. dazu kommt etwa 3mal soviel orangensaft und 4mal soviel blutorangensaft. außerdem etwas traubensaft, limettensaftkonzentrat, pfirsigsaft, honig und einige löffel braunen zucker.
sofern es noch mehr brennen soll, kann man natürlich die verhältnisse nach eigenen wünschen abändern
